What a Depressing Day!

I heard something rather interesting early this morning.  Statistically, you and I just came through the ‘most depressing day of the year’.  The first Monday of the last full week of January is statistically the most depressing day of the entire year.  Why?  Well researches point to three different factors, one:  many people are tiring of the grey, gloomy days of Winter; two:  many people are having sticker-shock as they receive their Christmas credit card statements and lastly most people are throwing out their New Year’s Resolutions!  Interesting!

I want to encourage you this week to ‘be encouraged’.  Remember, Jesus has a greater love for you than you can imagine.  God loves you. He cares about you, your needs, your situation and total life.  He’s ready to celebrate with you and desires greatly to bless your life.

If you need a bit of encouragement today here is your prescription:  find someone to encourage today and encourage them.  If you want to feel good about who you are today, find someone that you can make feel great about themselves today.  Whatever you desire right now, look to be that for someone else TODAY.

We all look forward to worshipping with you this weekend at one of our Weekend Gatherings.

Blessings,

Virgil
