FROM PASTOR VIRGIL

Volunteers @ Family Church

Or should I be Biblical and call our “volunteers” what they really are… “ministers”.  Did you know that the Bible has given you a specific gift to be used for His glory?  God certainly did and He calls this your ministry here on Earth.

As you look around Family Church you will see an overwhelming number of “ministers” that give of their time, talents and resources each and every week.  We are more than blessed as a church by people who give selflessly and generously.  We have people that give of their time to care for those in our nursery, we have those who give of themselves to instruct and guide our pre-school and elementary students.  We have people who open up their home weekly to the youth, men, and women of our church family.  We have a number of people who lead Bible studies, Small Groups and the practical side of our church operations.  In a word we have an “ARMY” of people that give life to our church body.  Thank you!

You are not only filling a need in our church body, you are fulfilling your God-given purpose as you give and serve others, and we as a church collectively say thank you, and that we more than appreciate what you are adding to this body of believers.

This coming weekend, here is my request….say thank you to someone that is serving in one of our weekend services.

Serving With You,

Pastor Virgil

CURRENT SERMON SERIES

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

The Beatitudes

Matthew Chapter 5

Through this series based on the Beatitudes in Matthew 5, Pastor Virgil looks at what God says about our happiness. Come learn how humility can affect our happiness and look at ways to heal a broken heart in a message on grief. Also learn how Jesus teaches how you can control your reactions, how to find peace, the secret of satisfaction and how giving can make life happier. Finally, we will focus on how to develop a pure heart and how to handle harassment for our faith.

This is going to be an exciting time of growth in your life and in the life of our church.  You cannot afford to miss any of these life-changing messages for the New Year.
