"Easter What an Eggsperience"

This was our kid’s program title for Easter Sunday!

We started out with a great game with the children; explaining the Biblical Easter Story for the first 20 minutes. The kids were really paying attention and they were so good. Then we took the kids outside to an open baseball field for the BIG egg hunt. We used over 1,000 eggs and over 50 individual kids participated. One family came for sure because of a small ad in the Daily Herald. Another family came because of a personal invite from a church attender. Red Robin (character) even came for a visit. The weather was so nice and worked out wonderful. We had over $500 donated in Candy and really cool prizes from the community businesses and church folks! The Volunteers were outstanding - so hats off to them! The night before the Volunteers met for a few hours preparing and praying for the event! I would say this was a great “Eggsprience” for everyone! The church attendance was more than 200 with a great sunrise service meeting at the “Cove” on Lake Stevens at 8am. Great days are in store for LSFC!!!
