Faithfulness:

What is faithfulness?  Usually the only time this word comes up is when someone hasn’t been faithful in some area of their life.

When someone cheats in a relationship

            When someone breaks a promise

            When someone reneges on deal

When someone fails to keep a commitment

So what?  Everyone slips at times and what does it hurt?  It’s not like anyone dies because of it, or do they?  Did you know, from the very beginning God instructed us to live a faithful life and a blameless life.

Genesis 17:1 (NLT)
"I am God Almighty; serve me faithfully and live a blameless life.”

What comes of living a faithful life?  Well the Bible goes on to tell us that if we live faithfully we will be blessed.

Proverbs 28:20 (NIV)
“A faithful man will be richly blessed.”

So let me encourage you today to check your life and see how you are doing in the various areas of your life….how are you doing being faithful?

Am I being a faithful follower of Jesus?

                        Going to church

                        Serving in ministry

                        Sharing God with others

Am I being faithful to maintaining my health?

Am I being faithful spending time with my family?

Am I being faithful in my relationships?

God is calling you to a life of faithfulness and He tells us if we listen to Him we will live blessed lives.

I am praying for you all today and look forward to seeing you at one of our weekend celebration services this coming Sunday.

Pastor Virgil
