Dear Church Family ,

We do hope we find you enjoying a wonderful fall season.  Isn’t it amazing how quickly time does pass?  Before we know it, Thanksgiving will come and go.  Christmas 2007 will soon be a blur in the ‘rear-view mirror of life.’

One thing we must never lose sight of is, one day our life will also be a ‘blur in the rear-view mirror of eternity.’  We must make our lives count in the eternal economy of heaven.  Jesus taught that we are to be good stewards of the lives He has given us, which is the main reason I write to you today.

This Sunday (November 18, 2007) you will be given an opportunity to reach beyond yourself and that of your family through ‘One Day To Feed The World’.  This is really an opportunity to practice living beyond yourself and also teaching your family what it means to steward God-given blessings.  The Bible says that ‘to whom much is given, much is required’. (Luke 12:48)

We have all been blessed beyond our imaginations.  With the fact that millions live on less than a dollar a day, and more than 6 million children die of hunger each year, we must remember that Christ commanded us to reach out to those that are disenfranchised and in need.  Matthew 25 contains our marching orders.  So that is why we have set aside This Sunday, November 18, 2007 as One Day To Feed The World.

Will you plan to participate by giving one days wages to feed the hungry?  (Remember, this is above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings.) What we love about this effort is everyone can participate.  Remember, it’s not about equal giving, it’s about equal sacrifice.

Let’s pray for a miracle offering, this Sunday, and that God will bless us all as we live beyond ourselves and reach out to those that live in need.

Blessings to you as you pray and prepare to give.  It’s a privilege to minister along with you.  May God use us all, as we give together.

Pastor Virgil, Angela, Ami & Bryce
