Here’s To 2008!

Well as I sit here the day after Christmas (In Starbucks), I am forced to think about the New Year. What will 2008 hold for me, my family, my faith and my friends? I wonder the same thing about you and yours. What does God hold for us? The Bible is clear that God knows your future, He knows my future and He desires the ‘best’ for you and me. So here is what God is speaking to me; (like you may care just a little) 1) He is wanting me to re-commit myself to doing His work, (new year, new commitment) 2) He wants me to stretch and grow my faith in Him, (without faith you cannot please God) 3) He wants me to concentrate on His priorities and purpose for my life, and finally 4) He wants me to consecrate my gifts and abilities to be used for His good and His glory. (Whatever good He has blessed me with, I must bless HIM with)

“Our gifts and abilities are God’s gift to us,

What we choose to do with them is our gift to God”

So how does this involve you? I believe God has greater things in store for you in 2008 than in 2007. I am convinced that your best days are ahead for you and your family, and I am THRILLED to know that the best days are ahead for us and our church family.

So slow down today, (maybe as your reading this now) and listen for what God may have for you in the New Year. Write is down, remember it, pray over it and then live it.

It’s a joy serving our Lord and Savior with you,

May God speak clear enough for you to hear Him today, and may you and your family realize Him in a deeper way in 2008.

	UPCOMING EVENTS This Sunday – December 30^th – ONE 10:30AM Service Please join us next Sunday, December 30^th for ONE 10:30AM service at the Boy’s and Girls Club. Kid's CD Project That’s right! The Lake Stevens Community Kids Choir is heading to the studio January 5^th, 2008-10:00AM. It’s not too late to get your kids involved! That’s right, February 15-17, 2008 our students will be heading to LEAVENWORTH for some great speaking, worship, & of course LOTS of fun!!! Cost will be $140 per student, and $100 for each additional sibling (family discount). Snowboarding/skiing will be available on Sat. for an additional cost. Other Sat. activities include a scavenger hunt though the town of Leavenworth! Be watching for more information. 	WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK Sunday - Lake Stevens Community Kid's Choir Kids – ages K-7^th grade - Join us this Sunday, from 4:30-6:00PM, as we have officially launched the 2007/2008 Lake Stevens Community Kids’ Choir. This past year through Kids’ Convention, Army Camp, Bible Camp & VBS, kids have experienced a taste of the high powered, high energy music that will continue on through this choir. If your kids are in elementary school or the beginning of middle school, they are not going to want to miss out. We will be performing live throughout the year and will head to Imperative Studios (www.imperativestudios.com) in January to record an album. Registration is $30 which includes a t-shirt.
